| Patriotes loses in semis, Matadors eliminated in quarters | |||

March 17, 2012 - The Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders edged the Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes 5-4 in the provincial championship’s semi-finals. The goal scorers for the Patriotes were Mathieu Bastarache, Mathieu Newcomb, Nicholas Brun and Jérémie Boudreau. In the quarter-finals, the Patriotes defeated the Miramichi Valley Pulamoo 7-1. Jérémie Boudreau (2), Mathieu Newcomb Alexandre Cormier, Marcel Newcomb, Sébastien Landry and Dominic Bourque scored the Patriotes’ goals. In another quarter-final game, the Mathieu-Martin Matadors lost 5-2 to the Népsiguit (ESN) Rebelles. The Matadors got goals from Hugo Gagnon and Marco Gaudet. |

March 13, 2012 - The Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes and the Mathieu-Martin Matadors will be representing the Eastern Conference at this weekend’s provincial tournament at the qplex in Quispamsis. In quarter-finals action on Friday, the Patriotes will play against the Miramichi Valley Pulamoo at 11:00am while the Matadors will face the Népisiguit (ESN) Rebelles at 2:00pm. |

March 28, 2011 - The Leo Hayes Lions defeated the Mathieu-Martin Matadors 6-3 while the Fredericton High Black Kats edged the Clément-Cormier Cavaliers 7-5. Pier-Luc Moreau, Erik Lang and Luc Barrieau scored for the Matadors. Michel Richard (2), Michel Caissie, Ghislain Belliveau and Rémi Cormier were the Cavaliers goal scorers. The Black Kats then captured the provincial championship with a 5-3 victory over the Lions in the final. The Cavaliers and Matadors had quarter-final wins against ESN (7-5) and Miramichi Valley (5-1) respectively. |

December 30, 2009 - The MacNaughton Highlanders claimed the high school division of the Saint John Irving Oil Christmas tournament with a 5-2 victory over the St. Malachy's Saints in the championship game. Curtis Leet and Jeremy Melanson each scored twice for the winners while Aaron Vautour had the other. Rob Gale and Jesse Prescott scored for the Saints. In semi-final action, the Highlanders edged Riverview 1-0 on James Donovan's overtime goal. St. Malachy's defeated Sussex 2-0 on goals from Matt Parks and Rob Gale. |

December 6, 2009 - The Mathieu-Martin Matadors defeated the Leo Hayes Lions 5-1 to win the Université de Moncton tournament. Marc Johnson (2), Joël Léger, Ben Thébeau and Jérémie Doucet had the goals for the Matadors while Marc Robichaud replied for the Lions. In Miramichi, the MacNaughton Highlanders edged Aux-Quatre-Vents Cyclones 6-5 to capture the Green and Gold Cup tournament. Brandon Lamb, Kyle Chapman, Jeremy Melanson, Zach Robichaud, Curtis Leet and James Donovan each had a goal for the Highlanders. The goal scorers for the Cyclones were Jeremy Pelletier (3), Nicholas LeBlanc and Lee Levesque. |
