May 28, 2005 - Two Eastern Conference players were selected by the Moncton Beavers during the 2005 MJAHL draft. Justin Dubroy of the Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes was taken in the 3^rd round while Zach Tessier of the Mathieu-Martin Matadors was a 7^th round pick. The Beavers also selected Mathieu LeBlanc of the Moncton Flyers (midget AAA) in the 1^st round (8^th overall). LeBlanc is a former player of the Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes.

February 20, 2005 - $9200 was raised for the Cyr family trust fund during the Mathieu-Martin Matadors game against the Moncton High Purple Knights played on Saturday February 19th at the Arthur J LeBlanc Centre. 600 people were in attendance.

February 18, 2005 - On Feb. 17th, a tragic house fire has taken place at the residence occupied by Jean-Daniel Cyr of the Mathieu-Martin Matadors. Donald Cyr, the father of J-D, has lost his life in the fire. J-D has been hospitalized due to serious burn injuries.

Dusty Carroll (coach of the MacNaughton Highlanders) and his wife, Genetta Carroll have established a Trust Fund through the TD Bank for the immediate and long term needs of the family.
Mark’s Work Wearhouse and Maritime Cresting will be accepting donations for the Cyr family. Cheques should be made payable to "The Cyr Family Trust".
Mark’s Work Wearhouse is located at 125 Trinity Drive and 459 Paul St. in Dieppe and Maritime Cresting is located at 242 High St. in Moncton.

January 31, 2005 - The Moncton High School Hockey Classic Tournament will begin Wednesday February 2^nd with games beginning at 4:00pm at the Byron Dobson arena in Riverview. The Greco skills competition will be held on Friday evening at the Tim Hortons 4-Ice Centre. More information is available in the High School Classic section.

January 16, 2005 - Mike Yeomans (RHS) scored two goals to help Team East to a 6-3 victory over Team West. Other scorers were Justin Dubroy (LJR), Luc G LeBlanc (LJR), Michael LeBlanc (LJR) and Scott Bourque (MHS). Mike Thomas (OHS), Ryan Daley (FHS) and Drew Murray (LH) replied for Team West. Players of the game were Mike Yeomans (RHS) for Team East and Mike Thomas (OHS) for Team West.

January 3, 2005 - The all-star game between the eastern conference and the western conference will be played at 2:15pm on Sunday January 16th at the Byron Dobson arena in Riverview. The eastern conference team will be coached by Rick Tessier (Mathieu-Martin) along with Stéphane LeBlanc (Louis-J-Robichaud), Denis Robichaud (Clément-Cormier) and Tim Smith (Riverview High).

August 17, 2004 - The Mathieu-Martin Matadors have named Rick Tessier as their new coach. He is a former coach of the Moncton Bantam AAA Vipers.

June 27, 2004 - Former Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes player, Kevin Cormier, was drafted in the 6^th round of the 2004 NHL draft (168 overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes. Cormier played the 2003-04 season with the Moncton Beavers of the MJAHL collecting 3 goals, 5 points and 250 penalty minutes in 43 games. He is expected to play with the Halifax Mooseheads of QMJHL during the coming season.

June 25, 2004 - Mathieu-Martin Matadors coach, Bob Wade, has resigned due to personal reasons and work commitments. The team is now looking for a new coach.

May 30, 2004 - The Moncton Beavers selected Rémi Gautreau of the Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes in the 7^th round of the MJAHL draft. Gautreau was the only Eastern Conference high school player selected in the 2004 MJAHL draft.

March 29, 2004 - The Leo Hayes Lions have won the best of five provincial final against the Hampton High Huskies in three straight games. The scores of each game were 6-5, 9-3, and 5-1.

March 22, 2004 - The Hampton High Huskies and the Leo Hayes Lions have both advanced to the provincial AAA final by eliminating the Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes and the James M. Hill Tommies respectively.

March 14, 2004 - The Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes will meet the Hampton Huskies in the semi-finals of the provincial playoffs. The schedule for the series has not yet been determined. The other series has the Leo Hayes Lions playing against the James M. Hill Tommies.

February 2, 2004 - The Moncton High School Hockey Classic Tournament will begin Wednesday February 4^th with the Greco skills competition. Tournament games will begin the following day. More information is available in the High School Classic section.

December 14, 2003 - Dean Perley had two goals to help the Leo Hayes Lions double the Mathieu-Martin Matadors 6-3. The Lions’ other scorers were Troy Bishop, Chris Gardiner, Curtis Vautour and Mitch Price. Jean-Benoit Bergevin, Jean-Daniel Cyr and Mathieu Melanson replied for the Matadors. Nick Murrins was in goal for the Lions while Andrew Courteau and Michel Breau shared the goaltending duties for the Matadors. Shots were 35-27 in favor of Leo Hayes. More than $1000 was raised for the Tree of Hope.

December 13, 2003 - Rémi Gautreau (LJR) scored three goals to give Team East a 3-0 lead before Team West replied with six unanswered goals to win the game 6-3. Michel Lavoie (CdJ) had two goals for Team West while other scorers were Alain St-Onge (CdJ), Sean Davies (OHS), Josh Barrett (FHS) and Matt Foster (LHHS). Players of the game were Rémi Gautreau (LJR) for Team East and Jason Turgeon (CdJ) for Team West.

December 8, 2003 - The Mathieu-Martin Matadors Hockey Team will be host to the Leo Hayes Lions on Sunday December 14th and money raised from the event will be going directly to the Dr Leon Richard Oncology Centre for research and services for cancer patients. The match-up will be presented at 1:45pm at the Arthur-J.-Leblanc arena in Dieppe.
Special thanks to the City of Dieppe for donating the ice time and to the referees who will be doing the game on a voluntary basis.

December 7, 2003 - The all-star game between the eastern conference and the western conference will be played at 2:00pm on Saturday December 13th at the York arena in Fredericton. The eastern conference team will be coached by Stéphane LeBlanc (Louis-J-Robichaud) along with Jason Bartlett (Tantramar) and Denis Robichaud (Clément-Cormier).

December 2, 2003 - Clément-Cormier Cavaliers, Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes, Mathieu-Martin Matadors, and Riverview High Royals will participate in the Université de Moncton tournament from December 5th to the 7th. Below is the schedule for the Eastern Conference teams.

November 29, 2003 - Harrison Trimble Trojans' coach Dave Melanson has resigned due to work commitments. Assistant coach Shawn Fitzpatrick will take over the coaching duties.

October 22, 2003 - Clément-Cormier Cavaliers, Moncton High Purple Knights and Riverview High Royals all have a new coach for this season. They are Denis Robichaud, Craig Eagles and Tim Smith respectively. All three were assistant coaches for the same teams during the 2002-2003 season.

July 3, 2003 - Defenceman Jason Cormier of the Mathieu-Martin Matadors and goaltender Kris Gaudet of the Harrison Trimble Trojans have been invited to attend the Acadie-Bathurst Titan training camp. Another player from the Matadors, forward Jean-Marc Bourgeois received an invitation from the Rimouski Oceanic.

May 24, 2003 - The Moncton Beavers drafted forwards Kevin Cormier (territorial pick), Russel Cormier (6th round), and goaltender Luc LeBlanc (7th round), all from the Louis-J-Robichaud Patriotes. Mathieu-Martin Matadors' forward, Jean-Marc Bourgeois, was taken in the 7th round by the Campbellton Tigers.
